Product Description
Standing S Cleat Roll Forming Machine
The JACK-AIVA Standing S Cleat Roll Forming Machine produces reinforced metal connectors for rectangular HVAC ductwork. It forms galvanized steel strip into a standing S profile with a folded connection pocket and an upright reinforcing section.
Also known as a Standing S Lock Forming Machine, the equipment is designed for ventilation duct manufacturers and sheet metal fabrication workshops producing duct connection components.
The specified configuration processes 1.0 mm galvanized steel strip through approximately 15 forming stations. The production line incorporates material guiding, leveling, roll forming, cutting, a run-out table, a hydraulic station and an electrical control cabinet.
The forming system uses Cr12 rollers hardened to HRC 58–60, Φ40 mm roller shafts and 25 mm forming stand side plates. A 3 kW motor drives the machine, with an adjustable line speed of 0–10 m/min.
Custom standing S cleat profiles can be developed according to customer drawings. Cleat height, pocket dimensions, material thickness and finished length should be specified when requesting a machine proposal.
Production Process
Strip Feeding → Guiding and Leveling → Standing S Profile Roll Forming → Cutting → Run-Out Collection
The guiding and leveling sections prepare the incoming steel strip for forming.
Approximately 15 forming stations progressively shape the strip into the standing S cleat section. The cutting system separates the formed profile into finished lengths, which are supported by the run-out table.
The specified line speed is adjustable from 0 to 10 m/min. Finished output depends on profile requirements, cutting length and the selected operating configuration.

Standing S Cleat for HVAC Duct Connections
A standing S cleat combines a folded connection pocket with an upright reinforcing section. The pocket receives the adjoining duct edges, while the standing section adds stiffness to the connection.
Standing S cleats are used in rectangular duct joint arrangements and can work with drive cleats as part of the specified connection system.
The cleat profile must match the duct edge geometry and material thickness. Important dimensions include the standing height, pocket depth, opening clearance and finished connector length.
JACK-AIVA can develop the forming profile according to the customer’s section drawing and duct connection requirements.

Machine Configuration
| Unit | Function |
|---|---|
| Guiding Equipment | Aligns the incoming strip with the forming path |
| Leveling System | Prepares the strip before it enters the forming rollers |
| Roll Forming System | Progressively produces the standing S cleat profile |
| Cutting System | Separates the formed profile into finished lengths |
| Run-Out Table | Supports the profile during discharge and collection |
| Hydraulic Station | Supplies hydraulic power for the configured hydraulic operations |
| Electrical Control Cabinet | Houses the electrical components used to control machine operation |
Applications
The Standing S Cleat Roll Forming Machine is suitable for producing connectors for:
- Rectangular HVAC duct joints.
- Commercial ventilation ductwork.
- Industrial air distribution systems.
- Trunk and branch duct connections using standing S cleats.
- Custom sheet metal duct connection profiles.
Profile dimensions and connection arrangements should follow the project’s ductwork drawings.
Why Choose This Machine?
Dedicated Standing S Profile Production
The forming tooling is designed around the folded pocket and upright section required for standing S cleat connectors.
Combined Strip Preparation and Forming
Guiding, leveling, roll forming and cutting are arranged within the production line, supporting a coordinated manufacturing process.
Specified Roller Construction
Cr12 forming rollers with HRC 58–60 hardness, Φ40 mm shafts and 25 mm stand side plates provide a defined mechanical specification.
Adjustable Operating Speed
The 0–10 m/min line speed allows operation to be adjusted to the material and profile requirements.
Drawing-Based Customization
Cleat geometry and tooling can be developed around the customer’s duct connection design.
