Product Description
Double Rivet Shelf C Beam Roll Forming Machine
The Double Rivet Shelf C Beam Roll Forming Machine is designed for manufacturing C-shaped steel beam profiles used in double rivet shelving systems. It processes steel coil through roll forming, hole punching and automatic cutting to produce beam components for subsequent shelving assembly.
The production line integrates a decoiler, 12-station roll forming machine, inline punching tooling, cutting unit, hydraulic system and electrical control system, combining the main beam manufacturing operations in one line.
The reference configuration is designed for 1.5 mm steel with a yield strength of up to 260 MPa. Material grade and coating requirements are confirmed according to the finished profile and tooling design.
Profile dimensions, hole patterns and finished beam lengths can be reviewed according to the customer’s drawings and shelving system requirements.
Production Process
Decoiling → Roll Forming → Hole Punching → Cutting to Length → Collection and Stacking
The decoiler feeds steel strip into the roll forming machine, where successive roller stations progressively shape it into the required C beam section.
Inline punching tooling produces the specified holes, and the cutting unit cuts the formed profile to the required length. Finished beam profiles are then collected for downstream processing and assembly.
Collection and stacking arrangements are confirmed as part of the final production line configuration.

Integrated Inline Punching System
The production line includes inline hole punching with one set of punching tooling. The tooling produces the required holes according to the approved beam drawing.
Hole dimensions, spacing and positions are specified together with the C beam cross-section to match the connection requirements of the shelving system.
Integrating punching into the production line reduces the need to transfer formed profiles to a separate hole-processing operation.
The described configuration covers roll forming, hole punching and cutting. Rivet installation equipment should be discussed separately if required.
C Beam Profiles for Double Rivet Shelving
C-shaped beams serve as horizontal members in rivet shelving systems. Their profile dimensions and end connection details must match the uprights and shelf arrangement.
Double rivet shelving uses rivet-and-slot connections between beams and uprights. This machine produces the specified C beam profile for subsequent connection preparation and shelving assembly.
The load capacity of the completed shelving system depends on the beam span, steel grade, material thickness, connection design, uprights and shelf decking. Load ratings must therefore be established for the finished shelving design.
Machine Configuration
Decoiler
Supports the steel coil and feeds strip into the production line. Coil dimensions and loading requirements are confirmed for the selected configuration.
Main Roll Forming Machine
The 12-station roll forming system progressively shapes the steel strip into the required C beam section. Roller tooling is matched to the approved profile and material specification.
Inline Punching Unit
Produces the specified holes using one set of punching tooling. Hole dimensions and positions are defined according to the customer’s beam drawing.
Automatic Cutting System
Cuts the formed beam to the specified production length. Required length ranges and tolerances are confirmed during technical review.
Hydraulic System
A 4 kW hydraulic station provides power for the line’s hydraulic operations.
Electrical Control System
Coordinates machine operation and production settings, including automatic cutting to length.
Finished Product Collection
Receives the completed beam profiles after cutting. Handling and stacking requirements are agreed according to the production layout.
Applications
The machine is suitable for producing C beam components for:
Double rivet shelving systems, boltless storage shelving, warehouse shelving, stockroom shelving, workshop parts storage and commercial storage shelving.
Custom profiles can be reviewed for shelving systems with specific beam dimensions and connection requirements.
Profile compatibility and structural performance are determined by the approved shelving design.
Why Choose This Machine?
Integrated Beam Production
Roll forming, inline punching and automatic cutting are combined in one production line, reducing transfers between separate processing machines.
12 Station Forming System
The steel strip is progressively shaped through 12 forming stations to produce the specified C beam section.
Inline Hole Processing
Punching is incorporated into the production flow, allowing the required holes to be produced before the finished profiles leave the line.
Automatic Cutting to Length
Automatic cutting supports production of beams to specified lengths. Available length ranges and tolerances are agreed for the selected configuration.
Custom C Beam Profiles
The machine and tooling can be evaluated against customer drawings, including cross-section dimensions, hole patterns and material specifications.
Defined Production Speed Conditions
The reference working speed is 12 m/min, including punching and cutting, for finished lengths of at least 6 m. Production capacity for other lengths and hole patterns is reviewed according to the actual requirements.
